ABOUT

Bishop Snedden Village

Bishop Snedden Retirement Village is owned and operated by the Wellington Catholic Homes Trust.

The current village in Kapanui Road was opened in 1984 and additional land was set aside for a later expansion. The expansion programme from Sylvan Avenue along St Vincent Way of 20 villas was completed in July of 2020.

Bishop Snedden Retirement Village is located on a quiet street in the heart of popular Waikanae, on the Kapiti Coast. The village is within walking distance of the local shops, and handy for the beach, golf course and local bowling clubs.

You’ll find a friendly community environment at Bishop Snedden. Our village is designed to promote independent living. They are well-constructed homes, with sunny lounges, dining areas, lock up garage, and private lawns and gardens.

Leave your maintenance worries behind as unit exteriors, lawns and shrubs are the responsibility of the Trust. The Village operates expressive of Christian principles and is open to all denominations. There is also an on-site liaison officer to ensure life at Bishop Snedden is as comfortable and hassle-free as possible.
